Blustering Boating

Monkeesee and Monkeedoo make new friends daily. Many are friends with the zookeepers. This is one of those days. The Zookeepers have many friends new and lifelong. These are the lifelong kind.
This happens to be the first time that Monkeesee and Monkeedoo have ever been on a boat. Loving the wind in their hair, the smell of saltwater and speed it is now something they want to have as a hobby continue to look forward to.
As you can see our host and hostess have their own little monkees who each had a turn at driving the boat. With a crew of 2 head zookeepers, 2 asst. zookeepers and 5 monkees, we had a blast.
They were also able to spot Dolphines digging for clams, there must have been about 6 altoghter.
We can't wait to see our friends again, boating or not. We look forward to seeing all of our friends. Drop us line.

Fall Fun!

The Zookeepers are at it once again. They have taken Monkeesee and Monkeedoo on a road trip to visit Monkeemetoo. All the monkees had a great time together. Monkeemetoo has learned that Monkeesee and Monkeedoo are great playmates and she also learned new game called "That's Mine!"

While the monkees may whoop and holler at each other they do seem to treasure each moment together. Monkeedoo and Monkeemetoo had a great time on a new and exciting play area, notice how they peek through the tunnel on they way out.

One of their favorite things is getting ready for the Big Game, and being the cheerleaders. "Geaux Mike!"
Monkeesee and Monkeedoo love road trips and the attention of others.

Be on the look out, maybe they will come to a city near You!

A Day in the Life of Monkeedoo

Now that school is back in, Monkeedoo has a lot more time to appreciate the simple things in life. As head zookeepers, we try to stimulate the monkees as often as possible and introduce them to new and exciting things. Monkeedoo has started a yoga class and is thoroughly enjoying it. She is excited about learning trying new postures and loves doing the three-legged dog and tree poses. I also believe she is really starting to relish shavasana, or "relaxation". As you see, she has her own yoga mat and eye pillow. She is really becoming quite the yogini.

Monkeedoo also enjoys going to the beach with friends. She loves the texture of sand and loves to see where it will go when thrown. Digging is also one of her favorite things to do while at the beach. She also loves to "surf" as she calls it, standing at the water's edge and holding her arms out.
No matter how full her days get with fun activities and learning, she is always happy to stop and pick up Monkeesee from school.

GROUNDSKEEPING!!

This is just a small excerpt from the zookeepers' day. The head zookeeper was trying to prepare for TS Fay and insisted that the monkees would be able to "help". So today, Monkeesee and Monkeedoo helped the head keeper with the zoo grounds.
As you can see, you should never turn your back on Monkeesee and Monkeedoo.

They were having a great time "planting," they reported.
"What were you planting?" we asked.
"Dirt."
"And why?"
"It needs help to grow. It was sooo fun."
As you might have predicted, this happened just before dinner. Dinner is always a hectic time, as Monkeesee and Monkeedoo love to assist the chef. The chef, after seeing Monkeesee and Monkeedoo, decided that someone else need to cook.

TS Fay was a dud, and now both zookeepers will prepare for the remaining hurricane season.
Go away Gustav!

The Wiggle Big Show

As you all know, Monkeesee and Monkeedoo love The Wiggles. This year The Wiggles came to an arena near these monkees. The zookeepers brought Monkeesee and Monkeedoo to the venue, where the girls seemed to really have a great time. Monkeesee and Monkeedoo love going on excursions to live events. Monkeesee and Monkeedoo have been to the Barnum & Bailey Circus and Princesses on Ice, among other shows. But their favorite by far is The Wiggle Big Show.

The zookeepers certainly had their work cut out for them that night, as the place was crawling with monkees as far as the eyes could see! Monkeedoo was ecstatic to see them live and to hear them sing her favorite song, "Rock-a-Bye Your Bear". She also loved seeing Dorothy the Dinosaur dance. Monkeedoo gave Dorothy the Dinosaur a bouquet of roses. Monkeesee loved watching and singing along to all the songs. She enjoyed watching the dancers too, and learned a few new moves herself. We got to sit right up close and shake a few hands.

The zookeepers, however tired they may have been, thought it was all worth the effort just to see the joy on Monkeesee and Monkeedoo's faces. The zookeepers got a kick out of the shenanigans of Captain Feathersword and Ben Murray, the famed Wiggle Dancer -- Those two are hysterical to watch live.

I am sure that the zookeepers will venture out again soon for another unforgettable evening with Monkeesee and Monkeedoo.

Summer Fun

As you can see, Monkeesee and Monkeedoo have had quite a summer. Just like their mom, they love to go to the beach and play in the surf with friends and family. This summer, Monkeemetoo was at the beach as well! All the monkees seemed to have a great time getting to be together. Although the monkees live pretty far apart, they love each other very much.
Monkeesee, Monkeedoo and Monkeemetoo enjoyed getting private art lessons with esteemed southern artist, Dara Bartee. I had no idea that Monkeesee and Monkeedoo were so talented.
They also received a private ballet lesson, which was great to watch. They experienced a great deal of summer fun, and can't wait to do it again.
Now that Monkeesee and Monkeedoo are home, they are climbing the walls and are demanding full time zookeeper attention.
They are, of course, the center of attention wherever they go.

Birthdays with Monkeesee & Monkeedoo

Monkeesee and Monkeedoo are growing up faster and faster. We have held several birthday parties for the two of them and as you can see they really are a couple of monkeys. Monkeesee and Monkeedoo both really love presents and above all, cake - Lots of cake with lots of icing. "The more icing the better," as the Monkees are fond of saying. But they agree that friends and family are the most important part of any birthday celebration.
Happy Birthday Monkeesee and Monkeedoo!

The Monkees go to YankeeLand

While Monkeesee and Monkeedoo have a great time down south in Florida, they also enjoy traveling out of the country to YankeeLand.
Here are pictures of these little Monkees discovering the differences between these two places. It was hard to explain that the beach was very very far away and that those big things sticking up from the ground were "mountains". I think that Monkeesee has the expression of dislike for this new and strange land.
Monkeesee and Monkeedoo certainly enjoyed meeting distant relatives, with whom we stay in contact with. And I do believe the Aunt X and Uncle Y enjoyed getting to know how these Monkees tick.
Monkeesee and Monkeedoo also got to meet some long time friends of ours, the "Nedermeyers". Notice that Mr. N is a peg leg, which kind of freaked the Monkees out just a little. Monkeedoo backed away very quickly when she noticed that his legs were different from hers. She also decided to create ART ON THE WALLS OF THEIR NEW HOUSE!@! Monkeesee and Monkeedoo make themselves at home wherever they are.
While on our big excursion, we traveled to an Amusement Park. Monkeesee and Monkeedoo had a great time driving.
All in all I believe the ZooKeepers wore them out!

Little Ballerina Princess

Here are a few pictures of my girls, Monkeesee & Monkeedoo. They are just getting so big and it is hard to see them as people and not little babies. The eldest monkee, the beautiful princess ballerina, has decided to end her dancing career. "I like watching the ballerinas more than doing it." And it looks as if the younger of the monkees is just getting started in the ballet arena, she loves to dance and monkee sister just loves to instruct her in the proper poses.
These little monkees seem to be growing up way too fast. Their interest change so quickly and they are so cute and adorable, that must be why I live in a zoo.
The zoo only cages them in for a short period of time. But Monkeesee and Monkeedoo like to swing from the rafters, and the zoo keepers are always to get them down. These keepers have super strength and are extremely exhausted.
The zoo keepers are always wondering what will happen next?????
